Amfitryta
Inspiracją do wykonania prezentowanej rzeźby, była mitologiczna Amfitryta z mitologii greckiej. Bogini morza, żona Posejdona. Wraz z mężem sprawowała władzę nad morzami, jednocześnie będąc uosobieniem piękna morza. Potrafiła także przemieniać ludzi w potwory morskie.
Głównym atrybutem Amfitryty był delfin.
W mojej rzeźbie chciałem uchwycić ułamek sekundy, który zawiera jej jedność z morzem. Oryginalną urodę istoty wodnej ale i pięknej młodej kobiety mającej w sobie demoniczną moc, którą zraniona potrafi wykorzystać.
Delfin
Również nie bez znaczenia jest rzeźba delfina, ssaka będącego pośrednikiem pomiędzy światem lądowym i morski. Istoty przynoszącej szczęście starożytnym żeglarzom i bojaźń przed gniewem bogów u rybaków w przypadku złowienia.
Instalację wykonałem z czarnej blachy stalowej, w technologii którą wypracowałem od pierwszych rzeźb figuratywnych. Całość osadziłem na postumencie z naturalnego marmuru. Amfityta powstała w 2017 roku, delfin w 2019.
