The sculptor developed the subject entirely according to his own idea: the subject is original (conceptual) and the details are worked out well.
In the story presented, the sculptor depicts an older man teaching a toddler. In this way, the sculptor draws an analogy between father and son and the process of learning democracy. It is a difficult journey of education, finding answers to difficult questions and taking responsibility for the decisions made. Life is a satire, the sculptor has proved this once again with his subject.

Dmitry Shevchuk, a contemporary Ukrainian artist renowned for his mastery of ironic caricature and humorous sculptures, discovered his ion for modeling figures from plasticine during childhood. This early fascination paved the way for his artistic journey, leading him to pursue formal education at the Kyiv Art-Industrial School (now Kyiv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and Design named after M. Boichuk), from which he graduated in 1991.

Following graduation, Dmitry delved into the realm of manufacturing, specializing in crafting master models, or small sculptures, for various companies in Ukraine and abroad, including Italy and the USA.

In 2010, Dmitry embarked on a new artistic endeavor with the inception of his own series titled "Satire as an Art of Life." This series comprises bronze statuettes, each standing up to 20 cm tall, crafted in the genre of ironic caricature. Handmade by the artist himself, each work is produced in limited editions of up to 10 copies. The series serves as a playful exploration of the mundane aspects of everyday life, inviting viewers to contemplate the ordinary through Dmitry's unique lens of humor and satire.

Through his whimsical creations, Dmitry Shevchuk offers a fresh perspective on the routines and banalities of modern life, encouraging audiences to find amusement and insight in the seemingly mundane. His works spark laughter and contemplation, transforming the ordinary into extraordinary expressions of artistic wit and creativity.
