“Post-Media Mirror” is a singular oil painting that confronts the relationship between traditional painting and the digital world. Rather than simply digitizing a canvas, artist Dmytro Dotsenko reverse-engineers the process—transposing the virtual interface of his own PC desktop directly onto the painted surface. Here, the “death screen” from a system crash becomes a canvas for encrypted emotion, while Chrome tabs, shortcut icons, and code snippets function as personal relics of the digital age.

This artwork is not only a portrait—it is an excavation of self in the era of hyperconnectivity. It replaces the visual likeness with a coded emotional map: signs, systems, and glitches that speak to identity in crisis. Inspired by themes found in post-humanist literature and contemporary digital theory, this painting resonates with collectors of conceptual art, tech-themed décor, and avant-garde figurative work.

Whether you are a fan of glitch aesthetics, exploring identity in the digital realm, or simply looking for an original, intellectually layered painting—this piece offers a poetic and provocative visual statement.

Dmytro Dotsenko is a Ukrainian artist working in figurative painting, drawing, and multidisciplinary practices.

Born in 1993 in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. He received his formal education at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, where he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Fine Arts.

Dmytro has been engaged in art since early childhood. His artistic language combines academic visuality with contemporary themes: human transformation, inner path, the state of uncertainty, identity in the digital age, the impact of technology, war, and memory. His works reflect both personal and collective experiences, blending symbolic strength with emotional depth and conceptual insight. In his recent practice, he explores a stylized realism enriched with elements of monumentality and visual codes from digital environments.

Over the past five years, he has held six solo exhibitions and participated in more than twenty group projects in Ukraine and abroad. He was a resident at the international art program Künstlerhaus Meinersen (, 2023–2024) and took part in the interdisciplinary project "Zinzhyr: Chains of Memory" ed by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (2023).

His works are held in private collections in Ukraine, , Portugal, and the United States.
