Ilya Mihai is a self-taught, visual and surreal Russian artist. He was born in the GDR (German Democratic Republic) in Meiningen in 1989. In 2017 Ilya began to actively travel around the world, trying to capture people's street life and the beauty of nature on camera. In 2019, Ilya was diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, the illness failed to completely shatter Ilya's spirit, and with the of his family and friends, he was able to turn his hallucinations into creativity.
