The activists stuck themselves to the glass covering of "Picasso's Massacre in Korea." They stood next to a banner that said "Climate Chaos = War and Famine," which showed the link between climate breakdown and human suffering, the organization said on Twitter. "If we keep going the way we are, everything that makes us feel safe will fall apart," said naturalist and TV host David Attenborough, whose words were used by the group.

Victoria police said they think the protesters went into the ground floor of the gallery before a man and a woman stuck themselves to the covering at about 12:40 p.m. local time. Just after 2 p.m., a 49-year-old woman from New South Wales and a 59-year-old man from the suburbs of Melbourne were taken out of the painting. Victoria police say that the two women and a man who is 49 years old were all taken into custody.
