Je suis né à Marseille en 1959 dans une famille d’immigrés italiens. Ma jeunesse a été bercée par la culture, les couleurs et la lumière de la Provence.
Après des études universitaires en sciences biologiques, j ai commencé ma vie professionnelle de cadre commercial à Roubaix puis à Paris et enfin à Amiens jusqu’à ma retraite en 2021.
Malgré mon affinité pour le dessin que j’ai appris de manière autodidacte, ce n’est que vers quarante ans que j’ai osé faire mes premiers pas en Arts plastiques à Amiens en fréquentant un atelier de peinture du centre ville.
Après plusieurs années de césure artistique, de retour dans le Midi pour ma retraite, je me suis installé dans un village provençal entre la montagne Sainte Victoire et les monts Auréliens et j’ai repris le goût pour la peinture avec une nouvelle démarche artistique et culturelle inspirée par les couleurs et la lumière si particulières du Sud de la . C’est avec une forte motivation de redécouvrir la culture et la langue provençale que j’ai intégré en parallèle un nouvel atelier de peinture à Belcodène. Mes préférences sont de travailler de préférence sur de grands formats.
Je fréquente ainsi cet atelier non loin du cabanon de mon enfance face au magnifique massif de la Sainte Victoire depuis un an.
Puisse mon âme provençale s’illuminer dans mes créations artistiques contemporaines telles que des poèsies libres ou engagées !
