Je me demande parfois ce qui me e par la tête. Cet incroyable faciès m’est apparu en plein rêve comme une fulgurance tellement incongrue que j’ai réussi à m’en rappeler jusqu’au matin. C’était une sorte de poupée de ciré jaune, comme ceux que portent les pêcheurs quand ils sortent en mer, affublée de hublots en guise d’yeux au regard exorbité et [...]

Cet incroyable faciès m’est apparu en plein rêve comme une fulgurance tellement incongrue que j’ai réussi à m’en rappeler jusqu’au matin.
C’était une sorte de poupée de ciré jaune, comme ceux que portent les pêcheurs quand ils sortent en mer, affublée de hublots en guise d’yeux au regard exorbité et larmoyant de véritables vagues salines. La ressemblance avec ce que j’ai identifié plus tard comme étant un carlin était tout aussi évidente dans ma vision.
Le rapprochement avec un Minion est intervenu après coup à mon insu.
Je me suis dit qu’à défaut de séduire, un tel spécimen ne manquerait pas de me valoir un peu d’attention.
Je n’aurais pas non plus l’occasion de sitôt de manipuler un jaune aussi « jaune ».

Il explore le trait dans ses variations infinies et s'oriente tout naturellement vers la gravure au burin sur cuivre, puis sur Plexiglas, technique qui nécessite une grande maîtrise. Marqué par la Pandémie, il bifurque deux décennies plus tard vers une autre voie en abordant l'estampe numérique, qu'il pratique aujourd'hui avec bonheur.
L'art animalier et de façon plus générale la nature représentent sa principale source d'inspiration.
Il l'aborde parfois avec humour, parfois en semant quelques graines de réflexion sur le devenir commun de la faune et de l'humanité sur notre si précieuse planète.
