About the theme: Setonix brachyurus is the scientific name of a macropode usually called quokka that lives off the coast of Perth in Australia.
This painting is part of my series Memento Mori Animalis where I revisit the artistic theme of memento mori adding some of the smallest and most colourful animals on the planet.
