"Self-taught, I have always had an interest in painting. At a young age, I enjoyed making copies of postcards and magazine photographs that I painted with gouache. As a teenager, I bought my first set of extra-fine oil paints. My first oil paintings were then reproductions of masters such as Manet, Corot and Constable.
Despite a very eclectic interest in the art of painting, my preference quickly fell on impressionism. However, the long-awaited revelation came with the discovery of the knife technique after countless years of painting with a brush. One constant remains, however: my unwavering attraction to color and light.
