Glossy finish

Stéphanie Lebeau, alias Fany, is a contemporary French painter and illustrator. She found refuge in drawing as a child and it was as an adult that she started painting. An art historian, she has more than twenty years of experience in teaching her subject and in the Visual Arts. As for her practice, she remains completely self-taught.
Endowed with a natural curiosity, she explores all mediums, with a predilection for mixed media: pastels, acrylic, oil, watercolor, inks, ballpoint pens etc. She finds her inspiration in emotion and what surrounds her. The themes are treated indifferently and reflect his search for freedom and a way to express himself: "I don't see why I should limit myself to one specialty. I mean discipline and the status of artist in the broad sense. For me, Art is a field of experimentation in expressions, constantly changing." His artistic quest is contagious and plural: balance, harmony and poetry.
Particular attention is paid to the finesse of his work, the originality of the subjects, the way of treating the motif "throughout his life", the expression of the graphics and the touches. The rigour and discreet poetry expressed by the painter are just as much felt as her accomplished style. His representations remain mainly figurative, rendered in a sober and airy grammar, reduced to their essentials and from which emerges a restful, soothing and majestic serenity effect.
Outside as well as inside, when Stéphanie sits behind her drawing table as well as behind her easel, she lets go.
