Tibor Jaeger is a contemporary artist born in 1949 in Târgu Mureș, Romania. He pursued his education at the New York Institute of Photography from 1992 to 1996. Jaeger is known for his diverse artistic practice, which includes painting and various graphic techniques such as screen printing, lithography, ink, pencil drawing, and giclée.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Swedish Artists Association (SKF), the Graphic Society, and the Association for Graphic Arts (FfGK). His artworks are represented in private collections across multiple countries, including Sweden, Finland, Romania, England, Hungary, , Luxembourg, Italy, the USA, and Canada.
Throughout his career, Jaeger has received numerous accolades, including an Honorable Mention at the 8th NBC Meshtec Tokyo International Screen Print Biennial in 2022, and an Honorary Diploma at the "Iosif Isser" International Contemporary Engraving Biennial in Ploiești, Romania, in 2021. He was also awarded the 1st Distinction at the Inter-Art Intercontinental Biennial of Small Graphics in Aiud, Romania, in 2018, and received an Honorable Mention at the 6th Tokyo International Screenprint Biennial in 2017. In 2016, he was granted a travel grant by the Artists' Association.
Jaeger's work is held in the collections of several museums and public institutions, including the Cultural istration in Katrineholm, the Permanent Biennials Collection of Yerevan in Armenia, the State Museum of Fine Art of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan, Russia, and the Shagaf Permanent Collection in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His art is also represented in the County Council of Örebro, the former Island Council of La Palma in Spain, the Inter-Art Foundation in Aiud, Romania, the Douro Museum Collection in Portugal, the Institute and Museum in Bitola, Macedonia, and the Bangkok Art and Culture Center in Thailand.
