The painting titled "Orange Forest" captures the vibrant essence of autumn as it adorns a serene grove of birch trees with a symphony of orange, gold, and yellow hues. Set against a brilliant blue sky, the scene radiates warmth and tranquility, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature during its most colorful season. At the heart of the composition, slender birch trees rise gracefully, their white trunks stark against the fiery foliage above. The artist has skillfully painted the leaves with dynamic brushstrokes, giving the impression of movement as though a gentle breeze is sweeping through the forest. Shades of green and brown in the undergrowth contrast with the golden canopy, adding depth and grounding the composition. The reflection of the trees on the still water in the foreground adds a sense of harmony and balance. The surface of the water is a mirror-like blue, lightly rippled with dashes of reflected orange and gold, further emphasizing the interconnectedness of the earth and sky.The background reveals subtle hints of deeper forest, painted in muted greens and browns, creating a sense of depth and a natural boundary to this intimate autumnal scene. The crispness of the blue sky, painted with a vibrant and pure tone, complements the warmth of the foliage, evoking the freshness of a bright fall day.Through "Orange Forest," the artist conveys a celebration of nature's cycle of renewal. The painting invites viewers to pause and reflect on the fleeting beauty of the changing seasons, capturing a moment of transition and the serenity it offers. It emphasizes the coexistence of vitality and calmness in nature, encouraging us to embrace the present and find solace in its ever-changing rhythm. This artwork is both a visual feast and a gentle reminder of nature's impermanence, urging us to appreciate the beauty in every phase of its transformation. It is a heartfelt ode to autumn's charm, brimming with life and warmth.

Yuriy Suprunchuk is a Ukrainian painter, born on April 11, 1961, in Zhytomyr, Ukraine. He received his formal art education at the Zheleznogorsk Art School (Russia), graduating in 1982, where he studied under V. Chukuev and E. Nikulin. In 2002, he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
His artistic journey began in early childhood, when a moment of watching his mother paint sparked a deep fascination with art. Suprunchuk recalls how, as a small child, he once stayed up all night painting after being inspired by the scene of his mother working on a composition.
He later studied at the Kharkiv State Pedagogical Institute, where he not only refined his technical skills but also acquired deep theoretical knowledge and art teaching methodology. Under the mentorship of distinguished professors, he developed a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary Ukrainian art traditions. As a student and later as an educator himself, he placed a high emphasis on nurturing the individual talent and expression of his pupils.
Yurii Suprunchuk’s creative style blends realism with elements of romanticism and fantasy, often inspired by Ukrainian folklore, landscapes, and national cultural identity. His compositions are notable for their philosophical undercurrents and metaphysical dimensions. In his works, one can often find abstracted objects, symbolic figures, and stylized interpretations of natural forms.
His paintings are characterized by rhythmic compositions, balanced use of light, and expressive color schemes. He often explores existential themes and the metaphysical presence of the human spirit.
Suprunchuk’s creative approach is introspective and emotional, yet rooted in structured form. His works frequently portray female figures, domestic still lifes, Ukrainian village landscapes, and cultural archetypes. The recurrence of motifs like trees, fish, vessels, and abstract elements imbues his paintings with layered meaning, often inviting the viewer to contemplate deeper symbolic narratives.
In addition to his artistic practice, Yurii Suprunchuk has taught for many years, inspiring a new generation of artists in Zhytomyr. His students and colleagues recognize him not only for his exceptional talent, but also for his philosophical depth and dedication to the craft.
Today, his works are held in private collections and exhibitions, continuing to speak through color, form, and inner vision — a testament to the enduring power of Ukrainian painting.
